The GreenFields Continuing Care Community, known for its outstanding care and exceptional senior living options, is expanding its services to offer memory care and enhanced assisted living. GreenField Terrace, the newest addition to the GreenFields campus, is under construction and is anticipated to open in early 2013. You can follow our progress online at www.thegreenfields.org.

GreenField Terrace will consist of four separate houses that surround an enclosed courtyard, allowing residents to garden and enjoy the outdoors without risk of wandering. Three houses will offer memory-care assisted living for those with a primary diagnosis of dementia. The fourth house will offer an enhanced level of assisted living for people whose needs fall between traditional assisted living and skilled nursing. It is a perfect setting, for those who require assistance with their medical equipment or who need help getting in or out of a bed or chair.

   
 
   
Nurturing Support

With only 12 rooms per house, more individualized attention will be provided in a comfortable, less-structured environment than is usually seen in an assisted living environment. Nursing staff will be available 24-hours each day, and Care Partners will provide just the right amount of assistance for each resident.
   
Individual Choices

Residents will decide when they want to get up, what time they want to eat, and what activities they want to do each day. They will be able to make their own breakfast and help tidy up their room if they so choose. In addition, everyone in the household will work together to make decisions, such as what the weekly menu should be or whether or not to have a pet become part of their household. The focus is on the person rather than on a schedule.

GreenField Continuing Care Community residents receive priority access to all levels of care provided on the campus, and GreenField Terrace will round out the comprehensive living options already offered, including Residential Apartment Homes at GreenField Manor, Assisted Living Apartments at GreenField Court, and Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Out-Patient Therapy at GreenField Health & Rehabilitation Center.

GreenField Terrace will offer a household-style environment with a focus on the individual’s needs and wants. It will be a unique setting in which residents can make individual choices, develop caring relationships and receive nurturing support.
